Mark Albrecht - CPA, MST

Mark is responsible for the strategic direction of XCM Solutions and is directly involved with product development. He is also CEO and founder, of Xpitax (an XCM Solutions company), which provides outsourcing solutions to the accounting profession. Previously, he was president and a founding shareholder of KAF Financial Group and has over 35 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services. KAF Financial Group is a 50 person accounting firm with consulting divisions focusing on human resource, technology solutions, business valuations and a financial advisor group.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Boston College and a Master of Taxation degree from Bentley College in Waltham, MA. He currently holds securities Series 6 and 66 licenses from the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mark’s past experience in implementing a paperless office within KAF Financial Group and his pioneering approach in developing outsourcing solutions through Xpitax provides a unique perspective of how to develop and incorporate useful technology within a CPA firm.

Mark has extensive experience presenting on topics related to accounting, firm operations, technology and business process outsourcing. In addition to several Webinar series, Mark has presented at the 2006 Management Summit and events hosted by the State Societies of Louisiana, California, and Massachusetts, as well as organizations such as Boomer Consulting and 2020USA. Glen Keenan - CPA

Glen Keenan is the President of XCM Solutions. He has extensive experience in public accounting, having worked at the Boston Office of Deloitte & Touche for almost a decade. He specialized in the paperless workpaper environment, internal controls and risk assessment. He has also been an active contributor to the high tech community in the Boston area, having most recently served as the financial officer of a software company specializing in workflow, and document management.

Glen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boston College. 

Glen is a frequent speaker on issues related to technology and practice management, and has presented at regional and national events hosted by organizations including Boomer Consulting, RAN ONE, SourceMedia, 2020USA, CPA Network, Principa, CPAPlus Network, and the Leading Edge Alliance. Glen is also a regular contributor and resource for professional journals and periodicals, and was named to The CPA Technology Advisor’s “40 Under 40” list of influencers in the accounting profession in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

 

 


 

Gary S. Spaulding - MCSE, MCNE, MCT, CCNA, CTT

Gary has over 23 years experience designing and supporting network infrastructures. After working with Novell networks for several years, in 1993 he became a Charter Member Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) specializing in Microsoft Back Office solutions. Involved with Windows NT, Active Directory, SMS, SQL Server, and Exchange since their beta development versions, Gary's experience with Microsoft technologies is extensive.

For five years, he worked exclusively in the Data Center industry, designing redundant, load-balanced, high-availability systems and networks supporting Internet commerce sites. He has also designed large-scale (over 35,000 users) Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Plans (DR/BCP) that address network failure scenarios. From 2000 to 2009, Gary was a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and worked extensively for one of the Common Criteria Testing Labs (CCTL) evaluating security evidence as part of the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS), an internationally recognized method of certifying security related hardware and software solutions. 

In a previous life, Gary was a professional clarinetist, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Jordan College of Fine Arts, studied at  Peabody Conservatory, and has performed around the world.

 


 

Colleen Osborne
Vice President, Client Service & Administration

As the group leader for XCM Solutions’ Professional Services, Colleen Osborne is responsible for planning and execution of all client-focused company training and technical support programs. As such, Colleen has trained more than 1,000 accounting professionals over the past five years on all aspects of firm operations and task-specific processes related to the company’s workflow software.

Colleen has leveraged the subject-matter expertise she has gained in this role to develop a best practices training curriculum and authored a detailed guide. She also provides on-site consulting and training to firms across the U.S., and has served as both a regular presenter and panel moderator at the company’s annual User Conference.

Prior to joining XCM Solutions, Colleen held client service and firm administrator roles at the Law Office of Arruda & Beaudoin and O’Connor & Drew, P.C. that helped her to gain an intimate understanding of the operations within a professional services organization. Colleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Framingham State University, and is currently a candidate for a Masters in Business Administration.

 


 

Bob Locke
Vice President, Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Bob is responsible for revenue growth and working closely with Client Services to ensure high client satisfaction with XCM’s products and services. An accomplished, results-driven sales executive, Bob brings a solid history of delivering year-over-year revenue growth for the past twenty years in the high performance computing and enterprise solution software markets.


Most recently, Bob served as President for Harwich Partners. In this role, Locke assisted emerging software companies in the development and implementation of successful sales coverage models and sales best practices. Prior to that, as Area Vice President of Sales at Adobe Systems/Macromedia for six years, he provided leadership to both the field and inside Adobe enterprise sales team in the Northeast, Southeast and Canada. Under his direction, the enterprise sales team delivered significant net-new business growth.


Locke’s prior experience also includes senior sales positions with Silicon Graphics, Convex Computer Corporation and Gould Computer Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Villanova University, Villanova, PA.

Erika Schonberg

Erika is responsible for XCM Solutions’ marketing and alliances strategies. She is a seasoned marketing professional who has implemented marketing and communications programs for high technology companies for more than 15 years. She also works closely with both the Sales and Client Services groups to advance the company’s position in the accounting software market and to ensure high user satisfaction with XCM’s products and services.

Erika is a results-oriented professional with broad experience in all aspects of marketing, including strategic messaging, branding, public relations, alliances, product marketing, lead generation, advertising, events planning, and promotional writing and design. Prior to joining XCM Solutions in 2007, she planned and executed marketing and business development initiatives for a private healthcare information technology company, serving as Marketing Director at Psyche Systems Inc. She began her career at Lois Paul & Partners, a leading national strategic communications agency, where she managed communications programs for companies in the software, consulting services, and telecommunications industries, including IBM Lotus, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Motorola.

Erika earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from Boston College, and has been a member of the Boston College Technology Council since it was established in 2001.
