Marketing Content Manager

The Marketing Content Manager position manages the strategy, management, and development of outbound content that drives high levels of engagement. This person will take a leadership role in establishing an XCM blog, growing its subscriber base, and increasing the overall blog’s reach. As a Marketing Content Manager, you will be responsible for developing ongoing themes, identifying internal and external writers, and managing editorial work that aligns consistent and compelling content to the modern buyer journey.

This role will collaborate cross-functionally to source content for the blog, as well as manage external blog post writers. In addition to ownership of the blog, the Marketing Content Manager will define other content assets and content development priorities to ensure alignment with the XCM GTM strategy across channels. This role requires strong organizational ability, along with demonstrated experience in storytelling to a B2B XCM target audience. 

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify internal and external writers, maintain relationships with writers for ongoing content development 
  • Determine content themes that align with strategic business objectives 
  • Maintain consistent blog frequency and world-class blog content
  • Schedule and manage quarterly meeting with key stakeholders to identify blog topics, themes, and external contributors 
  • Regularly identify gaps in content assets and sales enablement materials, and develop content to close these gaps 
  • Manage 3rd party content and research programs
  • Maintain searchable content assets database for efficient access to materials 

Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism 
  • 2-3 years of B2B SaaS or Accounting experience in similar role
  • Outstanding writing and content generation skills
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized 
  • Capable of driving projects forward, while thinking strategically about longer term objectives 
  • Analytical research skills to identify themes, trends, and insights from complex data formats
  • Excellent SEO skills
  • May be requested to work overtime due to special program events
